Not a law firm

Farol Residency is a coordination service operated by A.A.C EV. We are not a law firm, and we are not lawyers or solicitors. We do not give legal advice, interpret the law for you, or represent you before AIMA, any court or any other authority.

Legal services

Legal services connected with your application, including legal advice and filing, are provided by independent, licensed Portuguese lawyers. You engage the lawyer directly, on their own terms, and the lawyer is responsible for the legal work.

How we are paid

We are paid only by our clients. We receive no referral fees or commissions from law firms, fund managers or other providers.

Information on this site

Information on this site is general and is not advice for your situation. We check official facts against the official sources linked beside them, on the dates shown. Rules and procedures can change after those dates, and the official sources prevail.

No guarantees

AIMA decides every application. We do not guarantee that a permit will be granted, or how long any step will take.

Investments

We do not give investment advice or recommend specific investments. Investment products are offered by licensed providers, such as fund managers registered with the CMVM, on their own terms and with their own risk disclosures.

Property

Buying property does not qualify. The investment cannot go, directly or indirectly, into real estate.

Any housing help we offer is relocation help only, through licensed real-estate agents.

Nationality

Nationality is a separate process, decided by the Portuguese state under the Nationality Law. ARI lets you apply if you meet that law's requirements; it does not grant nationality.

We do not advise on or handle nationality applications.
