Services
We coordinate every part of your application and your move, from first orientation to renewals. Legal work is done by an independent Portuguese lawyer.
Orientation and route shortlisting
We explain the official routes and their conditions, and help you work out which are worth discussing further. For the route you choose, we introduce you to licensed providers.
What we do
- A walk-through of the official routes and what each involves
- A shortlist of routes worth discussing with a Portuguese lawyer and providers
- Introductions to fund managers registered with the CMVM, Portugal's securities regulator, and to other licensed providers
Not included: We don't recommend specific investments or give investment, tax or legal advice.
Document preparation and translation logistics
We build your document checklist, collect and check what you send, and prepare everything for a Portuguese lawyer's review.
What we do
- A personal checklist for you and each family member
- Checks for completeness, validity dates and format
- Certified translations and apostilles arranged through qualified providers
- Files prepared to the portal's format requirements
Not included: A Portuguese lawyer reviews the documents and files the application.
Scheduling and travel for the AIMA visit
Once AIMA sets your appointments, we plan the trip for you and each family member who is applying.
What we do
- Travel and accommodation planning around the appointment dates
- A document set for each person to bring
- An early check on whether anyone needs a visa for the trip
Not included: AIMA sets the appointment dates and runs the appointment.
Relocation and housing
Practical help to settle in Portugal, including finding a home through licensed real-estate agents.
What we do
- Introductions to licensed real-estate agents for renting or buying a home
- Help with practical set-up, such as utilities and local services
- Relocation help for EU, EEA and Swiss nationals too
Buying property does not qualify. The investment cannot go, directly or indirectly, into real estate.
